The world inside and outside the taxi is completely separated by the existence of a window. Whether the weather outside the taxi is good or bad, the space inside the taxi quickly and casually passes through the world in a state of perfect silence, whether people passing by argue or laugh. When I was a child, the world I saw in a taxi with my mother passed by as fast as scenes from old silent movies. Even now that I've grown up in such a hectic time, I still become a child when I take a taxi. With the warmth and the smell of space that I felt in my mother's arms...

택시

택시 속과 바깥의 세상은 창이라는 존재로 완전히 분리되어 있다. 택시 밖의 세상의 날씨가 좋던지 나쁘던지 길을 지나던 사람들이 언쟁을 다투던지 웃고 떠들던지 택시 안 공간은 완벽한 고요의 상태로 빠르게 또 무심히 세상을 뚫고 지나간다. 유년시절 엄마를 따라 탄 택시 속에서 바라본 세상은 오래된 무성영화의 장면들처럼 빠르게 지나갔다. 그렇게 속절없이 지나버린 시간에 어른이 되어버린 지금도 택시를 타면 나는 그때의 어린아이가 되어버린다. 엄마의 품에 안겨 느꼈던 온기와 공간의 내음과 함께…
